@Corey_A_Proctor @ravira Corey - of the changes announced last week, the one I do give them credit for is the earlier start. Eventually I’d love to see their season over by Thanksgiving or Halloween. Less NFL conflict, where they lose on anyways, and I have zero interest in going to a November game.

A thought for the schedule moving back. Make an extended "Cut down" day for every team, or have X ammount of players that don't count towards the Cap, Or Roster.... Obviously not the whole season, but more than enough time to evaluate the players that come after training camp 1/

@Tosh_Mizzau Draft picks or new to the CFL... coming late because of school type deal.. It can't be someone out of school tho.

@Corey_A_Proctor They are having an expanded practice roster but I'm not sure when that comes into effect. I think it's only 1 Canadian and 1 American. So having the ability to just have your draft picks count as non-counters until they either crack the active roster or go back to school works

No matter the time of season, they don't count towards cap/roster and get... 24 days (Training camp+rookie camp) to make the team and get upto speed. And Above all.... SCRAP THE COACHING CAP.. So teams have enough coaches to Handle the expanded roster.

The players that come after training camp will be the ones who don't count towards the Cap/roster Until they're added to the "Practice roster" or Actual roster. If a player is drafes in the first 2 rounds and makes a go at the NFL but ends up coming back to Canada 2/

@PeterCooper It's always such a catch 22 eh. One hand, it's nice knowing he's going to potentially make a boat load of money.. No pun intended. But fustrating because they were on your team. There's a possibility he comes back by say labour day.
