@forcemm @ArmChairMaestro @LiveNationON Price caps are performative measures. It may seem like a good idea but when you artificially cap prices below market value it forces sellers off legitimate sites where buyers have protection and recourse if something goes wrong.

@ArmChairMaestro Keep in mind the artist controls the pricing of their tickets and whether or not dynamic pricing is allowed.

@PeterCooper @LiveNationON The best way to handle it as a consumer is to protect yourself at the end of the day. I'm more concerned about Ticketmaster shifting focus onto pushing dynamic pricing onto a wider range of events, which screws over even more people prior to tickets reaching the resale market.

@kiefsherwoodlvr @LiveNationON It will not stop resellers. You honestly think people will just stop reselling tickets?? It will force them off legitimate resale sites that offer protection to buyers.

@ArmChairMaestro @LiveNationON People may be getting scammed that way now but it will increase exponentially. People re-sell tickets to make money and if legit resale sites are no longer able to accommodate that the vast majority of sellers will go elsewhere.

@PeterCooper @LiveNationON People are already being scammed this way while losing far more than face value of a ticket. Personally, I've never bought a resale ticket anyway. If you cannot profit off an event ticket in the secondary market, theoretically more tickets will remain with the box office longer.

The Ont. government wants to cap the price of re-sale tickets at face value. This will only harm ticket buyers as it will force sellers to the underground market and make it more difficult for buyers to figure out if tickets are real or fake... But what do I know.

@GlenMah @NHL @NHLPA The suspension was decided before the hearing even took place. A telephone hearing means only a maximum of 5 games can be given. There was no thought out into the decision at all

Hey @NHL @NHLPA, when the best player in the league comes out and expresses concern on how your DoPS is handling suspensions and is asking for a review, you might want to listen to him. The players it's supposed to be protecting aren't happy with it. And then your head of DoPS has the audacity to come out making a statement dripping of arrogance, pomposity, condescension, and egotism, you might really want to really look into revamping it. #NHL #NHLPA #NHLDoPS
