@FreeRosedark It’s clear you haven’t even watched the video to begin with. He says this because of how Togashi managed to keep up HxH as a published manga despite his health issues and hiatuses.
Realistically, someone would’ve checked out after writing YYH, and couldn’t go on to make HxH.

It's still a bitter pill to swallow, but Rudy is a character. Not a self-insert. So even though I might not be okay, it definitely shouldn't skewed my perception of the story or the message of his character.
Rudy chooses to be grounded as a character, even if it looks ugly.

I do like how the ED arc is making Rudy confront exactly what he is attracted by, and even his sexual identity. It's insane to think a series like MT would think of playing around with ideas like Sexual Identity, and could potentially be exploring it.

He's becoming emotionally tied to another person outside of sexual influences, and it's a boy of all things (In Rudy's perspective). Gender and Sex doesn't matter to him as much as before.
Even being open to the idea of Fitz curing his ED. (But I could be looking at this wrong.)

As funny as this scene is, it's a great result of how his ED is influencing him. Rudy's always been direct to ladies in a sexual mindset due to thinking with his dick.
So when you take that away, he's completely lost and has to rely on what he's emotionally attracted to.
