My parents finally got their plans back to rebuild their home in Palisades, and one of the new requirements from the city is that they use an expensive, graffiti-proof paint. City leaders know the kind of crime that will be let into the neighborhood, and they know they have no intention of stopping it.

If you could experience watching any television show again for the first time, what series would you pick?

We can’t keep sitting around as our beloved city falls apart. Hugo is a big reason for the expanding decay (especially in Hollywood). Dylan is a very strong (and kind) antidote. Bravo @moseskagan I am extending the same offer. DM me a receipt of your donation and let’s set up a call and talk shop! Please.

Dylan is a sane, smart, kind woman running against Hugo "Defund the Police" Soto-Martinez in LA CD 13. She is very close to unlocking a bunch of matching $$ for her campaign, and needs like 10 more people to give I think $145 each. I have pasted the link below. If you live in City of LA, contribute $145 or more to Dylan, and send me proof, I will happily take a 30 minute call to discuss LA, real estate entrepreneurship, historical fiction, strategies for mediocre parenting, or really anything else you care to cover. efundraisingconnections.com/c/DylanKendall…

We start with the basic problem: due to a number of overlapping frictions, housing construction is prone to boom-bust cycles and fragmented markets. This results in a capital-light, contractor-heavy model of on site construction which has seen *negative* productivity growth

The biggest lie in housing: “You can’t build beautiful apartments without blowing the budget.” You can. West LA. Just delivered. Soft tones, quality materials, and quiet luxury. Not the result of spending more — But executing more with less.

The Los Angeles metro area has once again shrunk by more than any other large US metro, losing 62,454 people from 2024 to 2025. Since the 2020 Census, it’s down a total of 360,252 people. To compare: over the same 2020-2025 period, the NYC metro has grown by 29,048.

All for more housing But is this best design? Looks like a hospital or hotel or office? New Hillcrest units on 6th which was an assemblage of lots
