@Victorokeke_ Emphasis on “get the politics” right. Once the political institution becomes flawed, it will definitely affect others

There are so many Erasmus Mundus Master programmes that many people might not yet be aware of—new programmes, new funding opportunities! Comment your discipline, and I’ll share a programme related to it. My mentor @iyioladunjoye did this last year and it helped people a lot!

@DefSpi @SamdGreat01 You can. Faith produces results; belief does not. Even scientists use faith because when they receive a signal, they must believe it to put themselves to work. Faith always produces a result (whether bad or good).

@DefSpi @SamdGreat01 A belief is an acceptance of something, whether it is true or not. Faith, on the other hand, is how the mind works. The mind cannot operate without a Hilbert space; faith is a preview in Hilbert space. How the mind processes signals to reach results is called faith.

@SamdGreat01 Because faith is how the mind works. People often confuse faith and belief. Every rational mind operates with faith, the ability to process signals in Hilbert Space. Faith is the evidence of things not seen [but only visible on the screen of the mind (Hilbert Space)].

if you really think about it, 70–80% of Nigerians may never reach the self-actualisation stage in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. for many, their entire existence will never go beyond the most basic physiological needs like food, water, and sleep—because survival will forever be their daily priority.

@TemidayoOniosun Exactly Reason why political positions are seen as businesses with the sole aim of making profit after getting elected. Political positions being treated like capitalism

The official take home package of a Governor is about ₦8M annually. That is ₦32M in 4 years. If party nomination fee is ₦100M (excluding money for campaign and election day), it means we actually expect politicians to steal when elected. Politics have become too expensive.
Omotayo Williams@KadunaResident

APC Nomination Fees — Then vs Now 2015: President: ₦27.5m Governor: ~₦5.5m Senate: ~₦3.3m House of Reps: ~₦2.2m State Assembly: ₦500k 2027: President: ₦200m Governor: ₦150m Senate: ₦100m House of Reps: ₦70m State Assembly: ₦20m

El Salvador, mehn, what a country. I read up on what their president has been doing and just wonder why it is difficult for countries facing insecurity to learn one or two things from them.

People are not recognizing the fact that the collapse of local governance is a major issue affecting Nigeria.

People are quoting this but can't recognise that he is indicting the people also. Just like then, today there is no real will to be a single nation, and no interest in the rule of law. People on this same app are begging for colonisation and "protectorates" to be recreated for resource plundering. People here throw e-daggers at you not because you did them any wrong; not because you were a leader who ruined the lives of their kin, but simply because you LOOK like or said something good about another tribe or region. If a person from another religion dies and you want to honour them, people from your religious identity will remind you that they died a heathen / kafir. People openly advocate for discrimination. The moment a person in public service dares to defy the status quo and follow due process, his/her colleagues will ensure that person is transferred to another department, frustrated or even poisoned. Nigeria is cursed because of the mentality, the attitude, and the behaviour of her people.
