Stefan Noesen had a cyst in the back of his knee that was getting progressively worse, and so the decision was to have it removed, instead of constantly trying to drain it.
Expected to make a full recovery for September.

As I wrote in the aftermath the Canucks kept the Devils in the loop the whole way.
There was a good chance a trade between the two clubs was going to happen thst December weekend the Canucks visited the Devils.
Ultimately it didn’t.
As someone told me you make the money work later on you don’t pass on trading for a generational talent. #njdevils
