But the real story is not the numbers, it’s the lives rebuilt. In Benin City, I witnessed this firsthand through stories like Success, who rebuilt her life from running a small cosmetic shop to becoming a landlady. Reintegration changes lives, and many still need this support.

At the ADP Fish Farm, what stood out most was their confidence. These young people are not just starting businesses; they are creating livelihoods, strengthening local food systems, and proving that reintegration works.

With the right support, returning and potential migrants can thrive. I saw this firsthand today, meeting young Nigerians supported by IOM to start a fish farm in #BeninCity. Listening to their stories of resilience and determination was truly inspiring.
