This sounds cool. But wait.
400 diapers will last a family with a newborn approximately five weeks.
The program will cost the state approx. $12.4 million this year alone.
That money will be funneled through a company called Baby2Baby, which will then provide their branded diapers to 400 participating in hospitals (California has over 500 hospitals in total.)
Meaning that instead of lowering taxes and letting families keep their own money to buy essentials like diapers, California takes their money, pumps it through a “nonprofit” that has overhead and whose CEO made $240,000 in 2024, to provide a “free” service available only in certain locations, and that you could have bought yourself for much cheaper.

On April 14, 2026, @CBP arrested Isidoro Gonzales Avilés, a criminal illegal alien, and Norma Anabel, near Douglas, Arizona.
Avilés illegally entered our country for the first time in February 2000 and has since been arrested and charged MULTIPLE times with sexual abuse, retail theft, battery, trespassing, and disorderly conduct. He was given a final order of removal from a judge on Jan. 22, 2003, and was removed from the United States on January 7, 2011.
Anabel illegally entered the United States for the first time in 2005 and was later removed back to Mexico in 2011. She again reentered the U.S., a FELONY, on May 20, 2024, and was arrested by CBP. She was deported two days later back to Mexico.

Tennessee's Republican lawmakers on Thursday approved redrawing the state's congressional map to carve up the lone Democratic represented district, the latest state to scramble to redistrict as both parties seek control of the U.S. House in November.
Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed the bill Thursday afternoon. The General Assembly first on Thursday had to pass a measure to overturn its own ban on mid-decade redistricting.
The new map splits Memphis, a Black majority city, and the county that encompasses it, Shelby, into three districts, a move that would favor Republicans. Memphis and Shelby County are currently represented by Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen, who has said he will sue over the new map.
