And with the 2 year lottery record rule, teams can't easily tank and reset for 1 year, so either you find your foundation pieces now, or you rush things and end up always being mid Plus Awa is genuinely special

@ForGoodAri @WNBAStormChaser I agree because Guard Big combo works to win titles. Plus this team isn't close to contending yet also people forget with 2 new teams coming in it make it even harder to make playoffs so long term processing is best to make sure a Paige led team can win multiple titles

@NILnotNLI @alexaphilippou The men are receiving 10-15x the investment but they aren't outdoing the women by that amount However this isn't a men vs women's issue (there's also factors like more boys play/are fans of sports than girls etc). This is ab the incompetence by the NCAA on the women's side

@alexaphilippou If more people actually supported regular season Women's Basketball (instead of just talking about it) there wouldn't be this mess... Over half of NCAA D1 programs averaged less than 990 fans a game this season. Only around 30% averaged more than 1500 fans. That's not support.

@sharkiowa @sportsfan6718 Iowa fan so let me expand - look at all the players in the portal and leaving high school and ask yourself why is Iowa not grabbing those athletes? Fans can buy all the tickets but where's the investment from the university?
