I don't think it's malicious or false. Conor was accused of using physical violence against wife according to at least 3 people I've spoken to and he seems to have an obsessive compulsion to talk about pedophilia and child molestation. Combined with him sending me a salacious picture of his toddler, I think it'd be worth CPS investigating. I'm not saying anyone should do it, I'm just saying they could justify it. No I was sucker punched in the back of the head by a black 17 year old, at 11am, randomly, in a convenience store
and in the immediate aftermath, while I was beating the brakes off of him with a metal camera, a black 24 year old stole my wallet off the counter
After I called the cops, they were arrested with my wallet, because they were going store to store trying to get cash back from my locked debit card.
The USAO declined to press charges.
This, combined with having a gun pointed at me on two separate occasions last summer (both by black people), and the fact that the share of murders in Washington DC committed by black people is without exaggeration LITERALLY 99% (johns hopkins school of public health study of crime data 2019-2022, as well as DC MPD homicide data) has made me less delicate when discussing the matter.
It hasn't made me hate black people.
But it has forced me to acknowledge that there is clearly a racial aspect to this, and tiptoeing around it is clearly not helping ANYBODY

@MallowTheQueen The issue is that it’s not just me, it’s the popular consensus. Loads of people played the beta and the free week and did not stick around, which is why people are suggesting ways for other people to experience the story you love. Making it more niche only hurts the story

@MallowTheQueen I’ve played extraction shooters, including marathon, and they aren’t conducive to story in any meaningful way for me. They feel like roguelites but to just make you angry and probably get called a slur.

@Gleptpgz Whether or not you feel the game is for you, that's for you to decide. I can't change your mind on that. But I truly believe anyone is doing themselves a disservice by not approaching the game where it stands, rather than where they want it to be.

@MallowTheQueen They could’ve done a different story for the solo experience allowing the same thing, but also the points you are making are why it isn’t doing well. People don’t want to be shit on by a 14 year old with no life while trying to explore a world.

@Gleptpgz This could've been done through a solo experience, but it would lack the tension and exploration the current game provides. As well as this, the meta elements pull us further into the world, building a connection

Narratively, we're exploring a lost colony that's only been recently rediscovered, whilst trying to piece together the events that led us here.

@MallowTheQueen Tales from the Borderlands is a great game, if people hadn’t played Borderlands 2 and TPS a few years beforehand no one would have bought the game. Aside from the tell tale genre fans which is not a lot of people.

@MallowTheQueen Marathon the extraction shooter would have been far more successful if the marathon universe was reestablished in the modern mind somehow. And attempting to do that initially with a new concept in a niche market was not smart.
