It is unfortunate that Govt of Goa under CM @DrPramodPSawant is gunning for Hindutva activist @GautamKhattar for speaking the truth on atrocities committed by Portuguese on Goan Hindus at behest of radical Christian cleric St Xaviers . He only said what has been described by famous Goan Author AK Priolkar in his book ‘ The Goa Inquisition’ According to Priolkar & many other authors, it was St Xaver’s who urged the King of Portugal in 1545 to establish the Roman Catholic religious court called Inquisition in Goa to punish Hindus who had accepted Christianity but left it later in secret or openly. True history tells us that St Xaviers, in whose name hundreds of schools & colleges are run in India, was in some respects a bigger religious fanatic than even Aurangzeb. Untold atrocities were committed on Hindus in Goa & Mumbai province of Portuguese in medieval period under the Inquisition. While reasons for maintaining communal harmony may compel a Govt to take deterrent measures, no one can be punished for speaking the truth. Would urge CM Pramod Sawant ji & national BJP leaders to treat the case based on this truth. Since Khattar was not found by Goa police after lodging an FIR on him for his speech on St Xaviers , it arrested has his brother from Dehradun. This is a most questionable act.

Sought blessings during the 18th Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier at Old Goa. Every ten years, the exposition draws devotees from around the world. Was impressed with the meticulous planning and organisation by the Government and the Church authorities.
