A great to get feedback from a day of training, is to ask delegates how they'd sum up their day.
A word or phrase is ideal, as it gets them to sift through the day's content, editing and prioritising the various elements, and concluding with a brief description of how they've experienced the day.
Whatever you've done today - how would you sum it up?

@PuppiesIover Lucky! (not very original, I know 🤨) Or perhaps Snuggles, as he looks very cosy and safe.

@stevie_caldwell Sadly, nothing seems to have changed in this respect in nearly 20yrs (since I left).
I don't know whether those with influence are hitting a brick wall, there are too many pieces to this jigsaw, or changes in gov have created to much instability to effect change.

@Headteacherchat Provide an objective listening ear; ask questions from a position of curiosity rather than judgement; arrange regular check-ins 🙂

@MrColesDrama That's the sort of thing I'd do too! In fact we've 'rescued' 3 dogs in our local area because I'm a sucker for a dog wandering around with no obvious owner nearby!

My work with schools this academic year has kicked off with a great, positive start!
I travelled to Birmingham and worked with a talented group of 12 leaders from Aston University Engineering Academy.
It was a fun day, as they threw themselves into learning the theory and practice, asked great questions, and reflected on their learning.
Thanks for your great hospitality too! 🙂

@DenrooneyDenise @Headteacherchat Happy to have a chat with the anonymous poster. I've been coaching in schools since 2008, following a teaching career involving several leadership roles including DHT and Acting HT. 🙂
