The Tigers have made the following roster moves to reduce their active roster to 26 players ahead of tomorrow’s season opener in San Diego.
INF Kevin McGonigle has been selected from Double-A Erie.
RHP Dylan Smith has been designated for assignment.
RHP Brenan Hanifee has been optioned to Triple-A Toledo.
RHP Sawyer Gipson-Long has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a left oblique strain (retro to March 22).
LHP Bailey Horn has been placed on the 15-day injured list as he continues his recovery from a left elbow arthroscopy (retro to March 22).
INF Trey Sweeney has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain (retro to March 22).

@SotoSocial @CardPurchaser I don't think so. They just need a solid case. Anytime there's litigation you definitely need to go through discovery and that lawyer needs to make a very very solid argument that covers all aspects. I don't think these guys had a very good lawyer.

Topps didnt have NBA & NFL licenses when the suit was filed and the plaintiffs tried to compare Topps licensed product cost to Panini unlicensed cost, with zero attempt to demonstrate differentiating factors.

Maybe it's just me, but if I'm choosing to provide select customers with my highly sought-after product, I may put in a little extra due diligence to ensure that it's the kind of people you like representing your company. Come on, @Topps, there are engaged customers that are good for this hobby that would jump at the chance to pay your price for your products. Just look for the shining lights, not the dim bulbs. It's not hard to see.

Blake Perkins was optioned to Triple-A this morning along with Tyler Black and Logan Henderson. Cooper Pratt reassigned to MiLB camp.
Not the news Perkins wanted after parts of the past 3 years with the Brewers. This appears to clear a path to Opening Day for Brandon Lockridge.
