When i was wayyy younger like 6 or 7 we used to do this house fellowship thing in our estate, i think they had special days they would visit members of our church or something like that stay close but in other areas we ( the whole fellowship, i went with my mum) visited this family one day and i saw something like this. They were using boiling ring to cook small rice because they had no money for kerosene. The kids were sleeping face down, their mother said whenever they don’t get anything to eat at night she forces her kids to sleep belly down so it would quell the hunger. I later became friends with one of the kids, he used to visit us a lot and i even dashed him my walkman and my favorite power rangers shirt. He’s late now but that day is one that would linger in my memory forever.. i was moved to tears. It’s also part of the reasons why i don’t waste food no matter what, cuz I know there are people out there that have nothing to eat.
