@71dd0_ @swspurs Spoilt for choice in Stamford mate, but that’s obviously why it’s more expensive. The other towns around aren’t as good but not awful. Everything is fairly close together though so even taxis back to a different town if you’ve been in Stamford and had a few aren’t that much.

@71dd0_ @swspurs Bourne is alright mate, the town centre is just a bit shit. But there are lovely village pubs all around it and Stamford is only 9 miles away. Deeping is alright tbf, Grantham not so much.

We’ll be moving up from Surrey so our money will go a lot further but Stamford does max us out for what we want. I need to come up to so another recce. Might en up renting for 6 months so we can do the search properly. Bourne pops up a lot on rihtmove. As do Grantham Melton Mowbray and Market Deeping but no idea what they’d be like to live in.

@71dd0_ @swspurs Peterborough is 15 minutes or so down the a1, the LNER trains from Peterborough station will have you at King’s Cross in 45/50 minutes. The London commute is easy from this area mate.

@71dd0_ @swspurs That’s the only problem mate, it’s an expensive town these days. There are cheaper towns like Bourne 10/15 minutes away mind you. Not as nice, but Stamford is still just down the road.
