@KateJones_teach @C_Hendrick @EvidenceInEdu Thanks so much for this, Kate! I’ve been doing lots of work recently on noticing and creating new habits in the classroom to help teachers implement PL effectively. This is such a great article - I really like the focus on reframing as healthy habits!

“As subject experts, we can develop “expert blindness” which limits our understanding of how a novice responds to the reading and writing demands in our subjects.” Chloe Butlin shows how think alouds can boost pupils’ learning across the curriculum. ow.ly/KVVe50U7LvV

@jonnyjohnno @greg_ashman The best formative assessment processes often leave no written evidence; just a smarter decision by the teacher about what to do next...

@paul_tyack Thanks, Paul!. Your point is really great - how do they, as schools, ensure accountability (internal and external) doesn’t strip away the learner curiosity and adaptability they are trying to gain?

@KateStretch_Edu Hey Kate. I've seen versions of a cycle of inquiry are being used in a number of schools, giving a structure for guided inquiries. Seems more teachers finding it harder to adopt a general inquiry 'stance' to pedagogy with accountability & efficiency at forefront...?

Are you using an enquiry based approach to teaching your ‘topics’ in your school? If so, are there any particular models or approaches that you have found successful? #cfw #enquirybasedlearning

I love F1 Sundays, especially when they’re filled with dramatic sessions like today, where Max Verstappen is out in Q2 with a 5 place grid penalty on top 🙌🏽👀 #F1

Fantastic inset session delivered yesterday on the importance of sequencing learning to develop understanding. Deep conversations around planning for learning vs being activity driven i.e lots of nice things going on. Lots of lightbulb moments and puzzle pieces coming together💡

Came across this video on YouTube this evening (we always watch travelling videos on YouTube). So many schools are teaching about the Welsh migration to Patagonia. Would highly recommend! Solo in Argentina Desert Searching for Welsh Colony youtu.be/H9Z-m763gWc?si… via @YouTube
