I’m glad you are back to your senses. Now we can debate the real issue. Do you know why it is illegal to discharge a firearm “into the air”? It poses a risk of harm. That is my point. I never said the sentence isn’t harsh. I said because his conviction is premised on his actions being potential harmful, it is illogical to turn and say he cannot be considered a threat to public safety. Personal views aside.

This is very wrong. The municipal level of government does not have any foreign policy competence,this includes agreements, whether formal or informal, with militaries of foreign states. DIRCO will be liaising with all parties involved to iron this out.
