It is with great sadness that I share the news that our Club President, John Dennet, passed away today at 1:15pm. John was a true legend of our club and a proud World War II veteran. His lifelong commitment, dedication, and passion for the club were second to none. From youth football right through to the senior team, John played an enormous role in shaping the club into what it is today. On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for everything he gave over so many years. His presence, wisdom, and unwavering support will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with John’s family and friends at this difficult time. Headed over to Wirral today to visit a ground I've fancied getting to for a while, for Poulton Victoria 2-2 Frodsham Park in the Chester & Wirral League Championship. I believe this ground once hosted #NWCFL football? Still a quality venue for level #groundhopper #groundhopping

Had a very pleasant and enjoyable day out in and around Grappenhall and Thelwall yesterday, as Grappenhall Sports defeated Manchester Rose 4-1 in the clubs' second successive weekend of meeting in L&C Cup action. #groundhopper #groundhopping #nonleague

Sadly didn't manage to grab a programme out of the 20-issue run, which was pretty low considering the opponents.

A good day out with @RowanP_86 today up in Lancashire whilst taking in @BacupBoro 1-2 @Droylsden_FC in the #NWCFL Division 1 North. Game came alive in stoppage time with an equaliser, a winner, then a leveller ruled out (wrongly, imo). #groundhopper #groundhopping

Had a good trip out today to slap, bang between Bury and Rochdale, as @HeywoodStJames saw off @BacupBoro's "Shadow Squad" 5-0. Two lots of a pair of quick goals really put paid to this one, the first of these ending the game as a contest. #groundhopper #groundhopping

Up and around Heywood today before FINALLY visiting @HeywoodStJames on the fourth or fifth attempt...and the second trip where I actually made it here! Luckily, Avenue came to the rescue that day. Hopefully no late surprise is forthcoming this time around!

We thought Jerry would be home by now after his heart valve replacement surgery but sadly he has suffered 2 small strokes, the first one just 3 days after surgery. He was doing so well but he suffered another stroke yesterday. I'm reaching out to the aviation community to help us get him through this. We need our Jerry back. Spent my stag do watching us lose 4-0 at home in a relegation 6 pointer. The hangover and beer fear isn’t actually that bad today; waking up and remembering this happened is the worst thing (along with my paltry crossbar challenge attempt) Enfield away next weekend is huge

An enjoyable (if somewhat soggy) day out today back in Frodsham and Helsby, whilst visiting @HelsbyFC for their 4-1 @WestCheshireLge DDB Memorial Cup Quarter-Final triumph over @GreatSuttonFC1. A fairly even game,aside from number of chances created. #groundhopper #groundhopping
