Manchopper in...Greenfield My visit way back when for this Cymru Amateur Cup tie, as @Greenfieldfc took on @CPDYFelin1977 in the 1st Round: manchopper.wordpress.com/2026/04/23/man… An initial tech-induced delay became a long break...which was needed. I wasn't writing well. Feedback welcomed!

@smilerhopper Kind of surprised that it is passable! Guessing something similar will have to happen here, given that Walkden are about to go to the Manchester Prem next year.

@ManchopperBlog Last year at Malet Lambert school was this frame bolted to the perimeter fence with a school PE bench underneath that was removed at full time and put back in the sports hall Not any good unless the rain falls vertical with no wind but is classed as a dugout for ground grading

Well, I got to @north_walkdenfc to find no rope within the cage, meaning I can't count it. Always thought a speccy area was a @THEMCRFL League requirement, but guess that lapsed a while ago or was never a thing! Anyway, I'll watch a bit until the rain persists and get away.

@smilerhopper Right, remember going to Royton years ago and they had to put a tiny area up, but have seen a couple not do so more recently. Doesn't make much of a difference on a day like this, though!

@ManchopperBlog @north_walkdenfc @THEMCRFL Yes it is surprising the clubs that forget A team won promotion to step 7 the other week and they now have an issue with dugouts as it a 3g cage within a school so may have to be wheeled in for step 7 games and then locked away afterwards for H&S

The fix was in.

@ManchopperBlog @north_walkdenfc @THEMCRFL Step 7 require dugouts and a barrier on at least one side for spectators but for some reason does not apply at Bradford university hence all there attendances are zero

Bit of a harsh penalty for Hearts there, but it was fair enough - if it's against your side, you expect that all day long.

With my initially planned game moved into midweek, I'm instead finishing off my footballing season with a visit to a likely title deciding clash for @north_walkdenfc, who need to win vs. @BaguleyAthletic to pip @Old_Alts to the @THEMCRFL Division 1 title. I think that's right!😂

Had a thoroughly enjoyable day out today whilst finally visiting Iodine Park for @FcMillhead 2-4 @PenrithRoyalFC in the @WestmorlandFL Division 3. An entertaining, and at times slightly strange, game was well worth the trip up. #groundhopper #groundhopping

@ManchopperBlog @lancscricket Bowling’s not too bad. We’ve got 5 bowlers injured atm yet Balderson has been brilliant, Bailey mostly has played well and Stanley’s had some cracking spells without reward. Batting isn’t obviously worrying, Bohannon and Hurst are good players who can’t score a run
