BREAKING: Vance reveals that whatever skepticism he had about the Iran war went away after meeting them face to face. He makes clear that these people can never be trusted.

Martin Odegaard absence from the team is driving me crazy. It's either a real injury that should come with a diagnosis and a timeline... or it's him deciding he can't play. Luckily for us, he spends a lot of time telling the Norway coach exactly what's going on... 'He is very much getting going now & he has less and less pain.' Ducking out of a tough week while other players play through pain? Not captain behavior. Doesn't send a good message to the others, does it?

We have successfully drained part of the swamp this week with the resignation of two very corrupt members of Congress. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

In light of Trump's recent fixation on Jesus, the Pope, and getting into Heaven, accompanied by a string of political losses, polling in the toilet, Epstein stories, embarrassment in Iran, regime change IN HUNGARY, and a total inability to sleep - time to discuss a condition known as NARCISSISTIC MORTIFICATION. Narcissistic Mortification is when a narcissist like Trump crosses over to a place where he sees visions of his own demise (thus 'getting into heaven'). Age and ill health play a role, but it's deeper than that. The condition is brought on by extreme fear. What extreme fear? To a malignant narcissist, THE most extreme fear of all is ultimate irrevocable humiliation - like being exposed as a fraud, or pedophile-friendly, or being exposed by whatever Putin has on him; or losing one's grandiosity in such a manner that it never returns - like he just saw happen to his friend Orban. In more psychological terms, narcissistic mortification is when one with a rigidly grandiose pathology sees his sense of self as exposed, defective or inferior. Trump the Infallible can't bear to see that. It was coined by Freud in his book Moses and Monotheism. It's described there as deep injuries to ego/self, triggered by one's own compulsiveness (getting outplayed in Iran), one's own lack of discretion (his sins with Epstein) and ONE'S OWN weaknesses (illness, cognitive loss). Grandiosity diminishes, leading to terror and disorientation (insomnia). PS: There actually IS a wiki page for narcissistic mortification (which surprised me) and here's an interesting sentence from it, that I thought I'd echo here: Narcissistic Mortification is "the primitive terror of self-dissolution, triggered by the sudden exposure of one's sense of a defective self ... to a narcissist, it is death by embarrassment."

I don't know what should happen if we don't win the league. It'll clearly be a time for discussing change. What I can't tell is how much demand for change is "digital noise" and how much is real. But it "feels" real right now, and if we do blow it, then maybe there's no way back

People get hung up on messaging, mentality, “bottle” etc. I’m not saying it doesn’t matter. But for me, more than managers, or tactics, or mentality or anything else, talent wins trophies. the most talented teams win stuff. And our attacking talent isn’t currently anywhere near the level. In general, one of the strongest & fairest criticisms that I’ve heard about this current “project” has been the way we’ve approached attacking recruitment. I don’t think we’ve gotten it right after multiple attempts & I feel like that’s where we could fall short of our goals more than anything else

So the Dems don’t want Swalwell to be governor of California, but he can stay a member of Congress? Are we running a halfway house for sexual predators in Congress now? No. He should not be allowed to stay in Congress.

@DarrenArsenal1 In and of itself not a problem against a high pressing team, you’re trying to tempt them on, the question / criticism is much more what happens afterwards.

Ultimately this is a tactical defeat not a psychological one imo- which I don’t think is ‘better’ than the more attractive psychological angle (in fact I think it’s worse) and to frame it that way discredits Bournemouth. For Arsenal, technical level needs to rise, without Odegaard and Merino not enough ball security under pressure and I’d wager we’ll see fixing that as a big focus in the summer (which obvs doesn’t help us now!)

Struggled with the four man press again much like the Carabao Cup Final. Frustrating that the warning signs weren’t heeded in the build up to their second goal and we continued to play short even though it was consistently getting us into trouble.

That might be the one. That might be the result we look back on. We all saw the banana skin, we all saw the red flags and still had to watch a performance like that. Until we prove that we can get over the line, we've got to eat the narratives. It's as simple as that.
