My favorite part of the World Cup so far is seeing foreign fans react to the size/scale of the American stadiums. We kind of take them for granted.

@BostonTBA I’m not sure if it’s in him. That’s why I hate locking up these kids so early on. Let’s prove a little something first. You have plenty of time to sign him and you are allegedly a big market so these early signings are unnecessary.

@Matheliminated I think Roman needs to prove he can be healthy but he still has 3-4 years before he's really a "cornerstone" guy. Fully believe he will be but there's a difference of "will be" and "is" we need some "is" type guys right now

I don't want the Red Sox to sell if that implies getting a bunch of prospects back...
If we can swing a big trade or even a 3 team trade for a proven infielder 24-28 y.o guy that can be a cornerstone of the infield I think that's a good start.
Think CJ Abrams, Zack Neto, Xavier Edwards/Otto Lopez, Casey Schmitt kind of guys. I think Matt Shaw is a step down from those guys and is in the boat of "he could/should be good" (which is the downfall of how this team is built)

@BostonTBA It’s a horrible FA class and I agree he might be the only untouchable in the entire organization. They need a James Wood, Caminero or Bobby Witt type of franchise player. I’m not completely out on Roman but this team needs more, a lot more.

I mean the only guys I'm probably not touching prospect wise is Arias and there's not many players I wouldn't trade to have a shake up like that to get any of those guys. The unfortunate thing is that next year FA looks pretty bad and we can't rely on so many young guys on this team.
