Pope Leo XIV opposes unjust war, genocide, abortion, contraception, same-sex marriage, IVF, and transsexualism. Trump is soft or permissive on ALL those issues. Yet Trump calls the Pope “weak.” Who is the “weak” one?

The statements made by President Trump on Truth Social regarding the Pope were entirely inappropriate and disrespectful. They don’t contribute at all to a constructive conversation. It is the Pope’s prerogative to articulate Catholic doctrine and the principles that govern the moral life. In regard to the concrete application of those principles, people of good will can and do disagree. I would warmly recommend that serious Catholics within the Trump administration–Secretary Rubio, Vice President Vance, Ambassador Brian Burch, and others–might meet with Vatican officials so that a real dialogue can take place. This is far preferable to the statements on social media. I am very grateful for the many ways that the Trump administration has reached out to Catholics and other people of faith. It has been a high honor to serve on the Religious Liberty Commission. No President in my lifetime has shown a greater dedication to defending our first liberty. All that said, I think the President owes the Pope an apology.

One would have thought that a pope insisting that public policy be guided by by natural law principles and Christian morality (and just war doctrine reflects both) would be something a postliberal Catholic politician would welcome.

The Pope removed his shoes in a mosque and people are outraged? That’s not compromise. That’s basic respect. If you enter someone’s home or sacred space, you honor their customs. We expect it in our churches. Why pretend not to understand it anywhere else?

I lived in the third world. I know a third-world country when I see one. This is third-world campaigning, by a third-world group of people, most likely somewhere that is turning into a third-world shithole. You just don't walk around screaming like a fucking lunatic. There are ill people resting at home. There are people grieving the loss of a loved one, and so many other reasons why you don't do this shit in a civilised society. It's perfectly clear Britain needs mass deportations.

Turkey is an illegal settler colony on stolen Greek land formed as a result of genocide and ethnic cleansing of millions of Greeks and Armenians. It's not a country, it's an ongoing crime.
