@benmurraybruce @elonmusk @benmurraybruce you just shocked many with this your tweet. Nigerian government haven’t kept 15% of what Nigerians subscribed to by voting and trusting them and you’ve not held it accountable because you’re part of the system but you found it worthy to call out someone’s product?

.@elonmusk I bought a Model S the first year you released it in California. I believed in what you were building. I got Starlink a few years ago in Nigeria, it was brilliant. Now? It only works between 11pm and 5am. SIX HOURS out of 24. You’ve clearly oversold capacity and overloaded the network. In England, providers stop selling once infrastructure is maxed out. Why is Nigeria different? Because it’s Africa, the rules don’t apply? People here pay FULL PRICE for a service that works 25% of the time. This isn’t innovation. This is exploitation. You took our money, saturated the network, and left us with a glorified paperweight for 18 hours a day. Fix it or say it out loud: Nigerian customers don’t matter to you.

We want to apologise to Nigerians, officially now, coming from me as the Minister of Power, for this temporary issue that is leading to hardship being experienced, especially during this dry season, where there is so much heat everywhere. Businesses are being affected, schools have been affected, and industries have been affected. It is not our wish to find ourselves in this situation, but it is due to some factors that are actually beyond our control. - Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu apologises to Nigerians for the poor electricity supply across the country

Consumer Complaint Resolution Report Mrs. Esther Olasantan, a businesswoman from Isolo Community, Lagos State, purchased a carton of fish on January 30, 2026. Unfortunately, the fish became spoilt after purchase. Upon reporting the issue to the cold room management, she was informed that neither a refund nor a replacement would be provided for the damaged goods. Subsequently, she was referred to the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), Ikeja Office for intervention. The General Manager of LASCOPA, Mr. Afolabi Solebo Esq., invited the cold room management for a mediation meeting. Following deliberations and resolution of the matter, the cold room management agreed to refund the sum of ₦180,000, being the cost of the fish, and an additional ₦20,000 as compensation to Mrs. Olasantan. This intervention ensured fair redress and reinforced consumer protection rights. @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat @gbenga_omo @gboyegaakosile @LanreBajulaiye @BarrBimbola @Mr_JAGs @Riddwane #AGreaterLagosRising #LASG

@oluwatayofemfem @easydigita Why do we have children with autism in Nigeria then if there is cure for it in Nigeria. There is no known causal factors for autism. However, it's a neuro disease that could be better managed if early diagnosis is done.

Dangote's Refinery hikes petrol price to N995 as of latest reports. So what's the usefulness of the Dangote Refinery? And don't tell us that oil is a global business or whatever. Because one fact people tend to overlook is that his refinery is located in Nigeria, with products distributed within Nigeria, to Nigerians. And let's not also forget that Nigeria produces crude oil, abundantly, which he (Dangote) buys directly from the NNPC. So has the Iran war dried up our crude oil all of a sudden? If he's exporting using the global price that's fine, but hiking up price for Nigerians given the slightest opportunity is beyond ridiculous.

Calling the naira strong and stable right now is a stretch. Yes the Central Bank of Nigeria stepped in to slow volatility, but intervention alone doesn’t equal real economic strength stability only counts when prices fall, wages stretch further, and businesses can actually access dollars without panic.

Shettima: Nigeria Would Have Attained N1,000/$1 in Weeks if Not for CBN's Intervention for Stability Last weekend marked the Tinubu administration’s 1,000 days in office. From the start, our administration chose the path of honesty and discipline; we confronted deep-seated structural distortions. In doing so, we've restored fiscal credibility, stabilised the economy, and set the foundation for long-term economic growth. Today, we're seeing clear signs that our reforms are yielding results; inflationary prices are moderating, fuel prices are easing, and our currency is strong and stable. Vice President Kashim Shettima

You have no choice. You should never have appointed Kayode Egbetokun as Inspector-General of Police in the first place. Sooner than you think, Nigerians will also “accept” your resignation, and history will record your tenure as one defined by avoidable errors and poor judgment at the highest level.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu@officialABAT

I have accepted the resignation of the Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, following his letter citing pressing family considerations. I thank him for his decades of distinguished service to the Nigeria Police Force and our nation. His dedication, professionalism and commitment to strengthening our internal security architecture are deeply appreciated. In view of the current security challenges and in accordance with extant laws, I have approved the appointment of Assistant Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu as Acting Inspector General of Police with immediate effect. I am confident that his experience, operational depth and leadership capacity will provide steady direction for the Force at this critical time. In line with the Police Act 2020, I will convene the Nigeria Police Council shortly to formally consider his appointment as substantive Inspector General of Police before transmitting his name to the Senate for confirmation. Our administration remains unwavering in its commitment to strengthening national security and ensuring that the Nigeria Police Force is professional, accountable and fully equipped to discharge its constitutional responsibilities. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Life is such a funny thing. You kidnapped a medical doctor and his brother. Demanded for 100M naira, killed the younger brother in the process and released the doctor after a ransom of millions of naira was paid. Now your own child is sick, you rushed her to the hospital and guess who attended to the child? The same doctor you kidnapped and almost killed. To everyone who prayed and contributed for the safe release of Dr Abu Tunde, the HO who was kidnapped in Auchi, God bless you all, his abductors have been arrested at the hospital where he was met to attend to their own child.

@iamgbolahan I wonder why many Nigeria drivers don’t keep to lane marking. It’s common in Lagos even when there isn’t traffic. I have observed it many times, people driving not inside the lane. Consequences of lack of rigorous driving test before issuing driving license
