@agenstriplex I think most people aren't aware that these advocacy groups are actually liberal agitation groups. Genuine victims are just looking for someone to help them and it backfires.

The more I hear about this story, the most reasonable Nichols seems in it and the less reasonable Adams. Based on the popular sentiment, this seems mostly divided on left/right lines in the church, but this mindset burns people all the time.
Steve Nichols@DrSteveNichols

Any season of transition can be difficult. The narratives and communications circulating about us on social media over the past few days have made this season even more difficult for us and our family. We want to express our deep gratitude for the twelve years we spent at Reformation Bible College and Ligonier Ministries. We are thankful for that time and for the people we had the privilege to serve. We also appreciate that both RBC and Ligonier have conducted themselves in an amicable, gracious, and honorable manner during this season of transition, and we have sought to do the same. Since others have shared their version of events, we believe it is appropriate to share ours. In January 2024, we learned from the counselor of our daughter, Grace, that he had submitted a report to the Florida Department of Children and Families of suspicion of sexual abuse of Grace by Stephen Adams. On January 10, 2025, we reported suspicion of sexual abuse of our daughter by Stephen Adams to Saint Andrew’s Chapel. Over subsequent meetings, we realized that we were at an impasse with our church and that we had different perspectives on how to handle this situation. On April 21, 2025, we notified a pastor at Saint Andrew’s that we would begin the process of finding a new church. We notified him again on July 20, 2025, that it would be our last Sunday (and it was). We each received separate indictments two days later, July 22, 2025. We were accused of slander, unresolved anger, collusion to deceive, failure to follow session directives, and breach of membership vows. There was never a trial, and our case was never adjudicated. After Saint Andrew’s Chapel voted to disassociate from the PCA on December 14, 2025, we immediately resigned our memberships. On Sunday evening, December 14, we joined New Hope PCA in Eustis, Florida, by testimony. On January 27, 2026, Saint Andrew’s found us guilty of contumacy, which is the failure to submit to the authority of the church and refusal to appear before the church. Afterwards on February 25, 2026, at their request, we met with a committee of the session to answer any questions and hopefully bring some resolution to our differences. On March 10, 2026, Saint Andrew’s excommunicated us, not on the underlying indictments, but for contumacy. We remain members in good standing at New Hope and are grateful for the love, care, and support of our pastors and our church during this season. We reported suspicion of sexual abuse of our daughter, we ended up indicted, and we ended up excommunicated. We are deeply saddened by all that has taken place and grieved for everyone involved. Our prayer and hope is that the central issue will not be lost. At the heart of this issue is the suspected sexual abuse of our daughter. —Stephen and Heidi Nichols

@agenstriplex That's why this is such a bias trap. You can't use good guy bad guy logic and actually have to be objective. My article We Need a Virtuous Church addresses this tension.

@MordeStack At the very least, the Usual Suspects crying about spiritual abuse and other leftist tropes have so poisoned the well that its impossible to take the cry of wolf seriously

Writing a long article lamenting one's victimhood in theological terms but giving people virtually nothing factual or evidential to make a judgment strikes of manipulation.

The decision excommunicate Nichols from a church he already left, that had already left his denomination is spiteful and smacks of manipulation, as the excommunication was only on the basis of unwillingness to entertain the proceedings.

Trump isn't going to solve every problem. But without him, immigration and anti-white discrimination wouldn't have become mainstream Republican issues. Try showing a little gratitude.

@FischerKing64 No way. Apple is very well postured for the future, they are just focused on gradually taking on segments of the market they don't compete in.

Apple selling cheap laptops means it’s giving up on being an aspirational brand. Means it’s run out of ideas - which has been obvious for a while with the goggles and the thicker phones and iPads. It’s like if Mercedes entered the compact truck market.

@chasteen_jeremy My way of thinking is to have a "working theory" that I build or tear down based on evidence. Early indications don't look good for Kent but willing to be wrong.

@JoelWebbon Nick Fuentes is in the Epstein Files? Fuentes repeatedly called Kent a CIA asset, tied him to figures like Tucker Carlson and Peter Thiel, and mocked his electoral defeats.

@Peteetong13 @BonifaceOption This is basically right. Trump genuinely likes Jews. He's not under their thumb. He also doesn't see the problems that red pill people see with Jews, but independently recognizes a lot of those problems themselves just doesn't associate them with Jews.

I am trying to keep a level head about this, but there really is no way to read these events, even as charitably as possible, other than very misaligned objectives between Trump and the Israelis, where he wants to limit the damage done to the oil and gas infrastructure of Iran to prevent reprisals against the Gulf States and have leverage; whereas the Israelis have every incentive to escalate further. Just as in the initial attack, there is one country that has ultimate decision-making power and it is not the United States. Even if I were supportive of this conflict, it would give me pause that they can escalate and there is apparently nothing we can do about it.
Annmarie Hordern@annmarie

WSJ: Arab governments were furious about Israel’s attack and the U.S. failure to head it off, officials said. They had aggressively lobbied the Trump administration to stop U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure and now feel a target has been put on their backs, they said… America’s Arab allies are now fuming that they don’t seem to have any influence with the Trump administration despite heavy investments of time and money.

This is a wildly optimistic view of the future. Allow me to give a much more sober minded prediction on what will occur should we be crushed in 2028: What will immediately happen first on the Republican/Right wing side of the aisle is that the still existent Establishment will immediately swing leftward. They will blame MAGA for being far too right wing, too extremist, and attempt to get back to fiscal conservatism, small government, and family values, dropping all pushes for immigration restrictions or fighting for White Americans, or Christianity which seeks to assert itself in the public sphere. Anyone who is connected with this or with MAGA will be systematically purged from all levers of power, every position possible, and they will be replaced as much as they can be by the Brilyn Hollyhands of the world, alongside a massive DEI push to get every single non-White and/or female possible who is even slightly in their favor to fill every possible position they can in an attempt to win back minority voters whom they will blame MAGA for chasing away, and whom they will assert are natural conservatives. Essentially, almost everyone to the right of Lindsay Graham will get fully assaulted by a resurgent Neocon wing. The Neocon wing will win, as they have vastly more money, more power, and are better at playing politics than you or I or most like us. It doesn’t end there. On the left wing Democrat side, as they take power, they will push for three things first and foremost. First, increased immigration and amnesty. They will likely create a program to deliberately find and bring back virtually everyone deported and hand them citizenship immediately as reparations for the human rights abuses they underwent from ICE. More amnesty will come under the same justification. Refugees will be let in enmasse. It will put what the Biden admin did to shame. Overnight, irreparable demographic transformation of the population. It does not end there, as secondly they will ensure Democracy reigns supreme. In order to most effectively utilize this new citizen base to get them to vote, measures will be taken to encourage electoral participation. They will likely make Election Day a holiday to increase voter turnout as an example. This will make it so there is a snowballs chance in hell of ever dethroning them in an election and they will secure permanent presidential victory alongside an unbeatable supermajority in all houses. And even still, they will do more. Because they will weaponize every aspect of the judicial system and the weight of the government on you, on me, on everyone who exists who even remotely poses a threat. Look at what happened to VDare. Now apply that nationwide. The IRS is going to audit and scrutinize everyone on the right. The FBI is going to investigate and embed themselves and arrest as many as they can. By 2032, MAGA, America First, and NXR for that matter will be a distant memory. You will have been sued out of existence, your entire website and operation deplatformed from everything, and more than likely, antifascists have firebombed your home or otherwise threatened or harmed you and your family because their networks now have tacit support from the state to do so through their robust support network of NGOs and judicial apparatus which will decline to prosecute or give slaps on the wrist for doing so. This is what is most likely to occur, because if the enemy is even half competent they will do all of that and more. You are right in one aspect though Joel. The best way to avoid all of this is by ensuring that Republicans do not lose in 2028, because even a government that will do literally nothing is far preferential to our enemies ruling over us.

Prediction: We get crushed in 2026 and 2028. America First replaces MAGA in 2032. Stay the course.
