We had THE BEST End of Year party this morning!! The perfect weather, super fun water games, and two delicious treats! HUGE thank you to our amazing homeroom helpers for ALL the fun today and throughout the year, we are so grateful!!💦🎈🥔🧽🍉😊❤️

The 2nd grade tasting party was a success!! Ss prepped the harvest this morning, then saw an amazing chef demonstration with a wonderful local chef, tasted their harvest, AND made a donation to @WCFoodCupboard!! Today was a good day!🥬🫛🥕💚 @IanKerr_math

For #STEAM day Ss read the book “If I Built a House” and then were challenged to design and build their own house using only tape, paper clips, and index cards!!! Lived the teamwork and collaboration of these 2nd ALMOST 3rd graders!! 🏠 💙

Today was harvest day! 2nd graders did a great job harvesting the veggies they planted and tended to over the last 4 months! The veggies are big and beautiful and we can’t WAIT to taste them tomorrow!! 🥬 🥕 🫛 💚

Ss were super excited to get a FREE copy of Dav Pilkey’s newest book this morning! FHE was chosen as a school to receive this amazing gift from the author because he believes in the importance of reading!! ❤️📚

I so enjoyed my “Muffins with Mrs. Mize” breakfast with these 3rd grade cuties!! I miss seeing these sweet faces!!😊❤️

Today was our last day with @Tom_The_Golden!! Tom helped us with our reading fluency, he brought many smiles to our faces, and he filled our classroom with love! I think it’s safe to say we will ALL miss him! I also think it’s safe to say he LIKED his pup cake!!❤️🦮📚🧁

FHE’s Heritage Day was a HUGE success!! We traveled around to 4 classes and learned about Pakistan, Italy, India, and Latin America!! What a wonderful day!!🇵🇰🇮🇹🇮🇳💃🕺🏼

Today Ss harvested and tasted our broccoli microgreens from Eli’s Greens! These microgreens took 10 days from seed to harvest, they are full of so many amazing nutrients, AND they are kid tested and approved! So many happy smiles after our tasting this afternoon!!🌱🥦💚

Fruit day was extra sweet!! Ss enjoyed eating their delicious, healthy fruit snack to celebrate this afternoon!!🍎🍓🍇🍉🍌🫐🍍

The 2nd grade garden is looking so good! Ss were hard at work this afternoon planting the last of our seeds and seedlings! Can’t wait for our big harvest, donation, and tasting in June!! @WestChesterASD @WCFoodCupboard @IanKerr_math

What a fun day we had celebrating Camping Day!! Our classroom was transformed into a campground and Ss worked at their “tents” all day!! We also had special camp themed centers, a picnic lunch outside, AND a nature scavenger hunt!!🏕️💚

Today was our amazing student teacher’s last day! She graduates tomorrow from @WCUofPA!! We are so proud of her! We know she will be a wonderful teacher and we will all miss her so much! Congratulations Miss Bolinder, we love you!!💛💜

The ABCs of 2nd grade have officially begun and Bubble Day was a HUGE success!! Big thanks to Miss Bolinder for making this day so special while I was at a training!! Tomorrow is camping day, stay turned for more FUN!!🫧🩵💙
