Half of my family is Lebanese Shia from the Bekaa Valley; the other half is Syrian Sunni from Damascus. I don’t know how many of them hate Israel. But I do know this: most of them despise Hezbollah, Assad, al-Julani and his government, the Houthis, and the Iranian regime. And all of them hate war. For years, we prayed—for Assad to fall, for Nasrallah to leave us alone, for Khamenei to finally die of old age. Nothing changed. Because peace does not come from wishful thinking alone. It requires action. And whether people admit it publicly or only whisper it in private, many already know: Israel did what others only hoped for. More will say it out loud when the fear is gone. I choose to say it now: Thank you, Israel 🇮🇱 I love you. Am Yisrael Chai ✡️
NEW: Emails released by the House Education Committee show that Qatar pressed American universities with satellite campuses in Doha to coordinate their messaging with the regime in the days following Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack.
