@AllAboutKorra imo I feel like it was doomed from the start. Budget slashed, seasons not confirmed ahead of time, later sent to their website I like the comics but feel it'd be better served as just being more seasons. ngl I want more korra content but as a show

@carlosedubarret would this be able to work, for example if there's a camera cut/ change to a camera angle, or if the camera shot is a close up?

I'll add to this and its gonna hurt some ppl. If you are treating 3D restricted to certain hours you dont like it. Getting a job in 3D is pretty hard for ppl who are really passionate, most jobs dont pay well so if you find yourself saying "I am only going to dedicate X amount of hours" this isn't for you. My 9 to 5 is 3D modeling industrial equipment, once I get home I go back to character work/ Unreal Engine
Henning Sanden@henningsanden

For 3D students: Most I’ve met simply aren’t doing the hours needed to get into the industry. Studying only 10:00-16:00 every day won’t cut it - particularly since only a portion of the day is spent on actual work.

@VGamingJunkie @okayyyy37 Idk if you remember there's like a "directors commentary" on some of the episodes. Like small bubbles on the corner tha would be the writer's commentary? In the play episode when Zuko asks if Jet died, a bubble appears and says "Yup, Jet is dead" just like that.

@okayyyy37 Exactly. Yue even dropped dead onscreen with Sokka holding her fresh corpse. And Combustion Man blew up onscreen with his metal gauntlet falling into the abyss. They are all too happy to show people dying, just not kids.

Jet's death is one of the funniest and saddest moments in Avatar because even the characters seemed confused about it. He took a massive earthbending strike from Long Feng, collapsed, gave his final speech, and then the show just awkwardly moved on. Nickelodeon didn't want an explicit death scene, so they left it vague enough for kids while making it obvious enough for everyone else. As Sokka put it, You know, it was really unclear.

@PeruvianPoly @Aurondarklord I think so. The tsurime/tareme distinction is often rather important in anime/manga, so it'd make sense they'd shift a game model in a way that maintains realism, but is closer to the desired archetype.

Claire and the woman they face scanned for her. Very close to exact. There is no technological problem that stops western devs from doing this, uglification is on purpose.

@Aurondarklord Considering how important the "tsurime eyes/tareme eyes" distinction is in anime and manga, I feel very confident that pushing the final model into "as close to full tsurime as possible while maintaining realism" is intentional. Very interesting comparison, thanks. /2

Rare renders from an unused cutscene, James carries Mary through the Prison and mannequins are crawling on the ceiling. Check the closeup, you can see the pain and guilt in his eyes. This was possibly from the In Water ending, after he picks Mary up from her bed and carries her out of the room. It's only briefly shown in a trailer. Renders restored and upscaled by me. #silenthill #silenthill2

@PeruvianPoly @Pirat_Nation I agree with your points. Overall the story was wrapped up, so a new game would be more like a soft reboot than a sequel.

Dead Space 4 is probably not going to happen, even though the series has a big and loyal fan base that really loves the games. Chuck Beaver, a writer and producer on the first three Dead Space games, explained the reason on a recent podcast by sharing the simple business truth that “The numbers just aren’t there” to make another game. The 2023 remake sold about two million copies, but EA saw it as a disappointment because they wanted much higher sales. The older games sold about the same amount. Beaver noted that years ago a new Dead Space game needed around five million sales to continue, yet today, with much higher production costs, that number has jumped to 10 or 15 million copies. He called pure single-player horror games “a dinosaur fossil” in the game industry now because big companies prefer live-service games that keep making money for a long time. He added, “It’s disappointing that we can’t take a beloved franchise to its logical end but… I understand the numbers.” Glen Schofield, who helped create the series, recently pitched Dead Space 4 to EA with a plan to reuse assets from the remake and save the company 30 to 40 million dollars, but EA still said no. For now the series is on hold as the team has moved on to other projects

@MR3Dev @Pirat_Nation Respectfully I disagree It wasn't even the type of dead space game they wanted to make in their own way. Micro transactions, human enemies, pointless love triangle, coop that, while fun, isn't as good as something like re5.

@thepaleunknown Imo Maria is the darkest ending. Headcanon is that james would absolutely slime Maria too, but this time it would be completely unforgivable. The big questuon is how would SH act when it calls him back again? More aggressive, maybe? No eddy or Angela this time.

@PeruvianPoly up to how you interpret it! could be the town actually taking him through his delusions in the vhs tape. or he could have also passed out (or even died) from the white claudia. the ambiguity makes it more jarring to think about

among sh2r endings, i think that Bliss is the darkest ending. although it's not as extreme as Rebirth or as ill-fated as Maria, Bliss feels like somebody installed a layer of paint over a rotting wall. james never finds out the truth.

After Avatar Aang ended the 100 years war due to Roku negligence, he created Republic City so all nations could live together, but here is what he didn’t realize, His good intentions became a problem for Korra: — The rise of inequality in Republic City Aang helped create Republic City so all nations could live together peacefully. But over time, non-benders began feeling oppressed by powerful benders, gangs, and political elites. That imbalance eventually fueled Amon and the Equalist movement in Book 1. —The bloodbending crisis Aang spared Yakone instead of fully eliminating the threat. Yakone later raised his sons, Amon and Tarrlok, in abuse and revenge, creating one of Korra’s biggest enemies. —An overly centralized world order After the Hundred Year War, Aang’s era focused heavily on stability and peace through institutions like Republic City and international cooperation. But that system became rigid and politically weak. By Korra’s time, corruption, class divides, and power struggles had built up beneath the surface. —The Southern Water Tribe’s dependence During Aang’s lifetime, the South became more connected to the modern world and somewhat dependent on Northern support and influence. That tension later exploded in the civil conflict manipulated by Unalaq. —The spiritual disconnect of the modern age Even though Aang deeply respected spirituality, the world became increasingly industrialized after his era. By Korra’s time, many people were disconnected from spirits and tradition, contributing to the chaos surrounding the Spirit World in Book 2. —The imbalance caused by removing the Fire Nation threat Aang succeeded in ending Fire Lord Ozai’s tyranny, but peace created a new kind of problem: rapid technological growth, nationalism, and ideological extremism. Instead of one obvious evil empire, Korra faced many smaller, more complex threats: -Equality extremism (Amon) -Spiritual extremism (Unalaq) -Anarchism (Zaheer) -Authoritarian nationalism (Kuvira) That’s part of the theme of the Avatar cycle: Each Avatar fixes the crisis of their own age, but the solution changes the world in ways the next Avatar has to deal with. END 📌

Avatar Kyoshi was the next in line after Avatar Kuruk Kyoshi ruled for over 200 years, which created long-term stability after defeating chin the conqueror but also allowed certain political systems to become rigid and corrupt. She used fear and overwhelming force to maintain order. That kept peace during her lifetime, but some nations learned to obey power rather than develop true balance. The isolationist policies (focusing on protecting your own land and people) she encouraged in some regions contributed to separation between nations. Most importantly, she failed to fully eliminate the ambitions and ideology of Chin the Conqueror-style expansionism and authoritarian rule. By Roku's era, the Fire Nation had become extremely powerful, Roku inherited a world that looked peaceful on the surface, while dangerous ambitions were quietly growing underneath. Eventually leading to Fire Lord Sozin beginning the Hundred Year War after Roku's death. Kyoshi also created the Dai Li to protect cultural heritage in Ba Sing Se. In the long run, that became one of the most corrupt and manipulative organizations in the franchise, causing major problems for both Roku's and Aang's eras.
