The government of Rwanda through Rwanda Housing Authority is constructing Nyabisindu rehousing project which will cost $1.6m. This phase will be comprised of 2,170 dwelling units which was supposed to be commissioned in December 2025 but it's likely to be commissioned early this year. Rwanda is also working on similar projects across the country with costs estimated at $70m. All these are part of Rwanda's vision 2050 engineered by ministry of infrastructure and RHA. Kenya is doing the same but the difference is that Rwandans are actually receiving units free of charge courtesy of Rwandan government and World Bank. Kenyans in the other hand are paying KES 960,000 each dwelling unit. Rwandan government wants zero housing shortage, zero hunger for all Rwandans and technology by 2050. Today at Nyanza Genocide Memorial, Minister @onduhungirehe joined survivors, the @KicukiroDistr community, members of government, and the diplomatic corps for #Kwibuka32, in solemn remembrance of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Nyanza–Kicukiro. In his remarks, he reflected on the tragic history of Kicukiro, where many sought refuge in hope of protection but were ultimately abandoned—an enduring reminder of the consequences of inaction by the international community. He emphasized the importance of preserving memory, honoring the victims, and reaffirmed the collective responsibility to stand firm against genocide ideology, denial, and all forms of division.

Urgent Call for Discontinuation of Divisive Ideologies and Path Toward Reconciliation Dear Jean Luc Habyarimana, @JLHaby I am writing this letter to address the grave path you have chosen, which appears to be a direct continuation of the tragic legacy left behind by your late father. As the son of the former President who oversaw the planning and execution of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, it is deeply concerning to see you pursuing a course that seeks to finalize an agenda of destruction that he did not complete. I strongly advise you to distance yourself from the extremist ideologies of your mother and the remnants of the "Akazu" circle she led. The world is no longer blind to these activities; the international community is watching closely, and every action is being documented. History has shown that those who fuel hatred and regional instability eventually face justice. You will, in due time, be held accountable for your role in these maneuvers. For your own sake and the sake of peace in the region, I urge you to abandon this path of violence and division before it is too late. Sincerely,

12 April 1994: As the Rwandan Patriotic Front ( #RPA/RPF) advanced into Kigali, securing key positions including Rebero, its UN representative Claude Dusaidi declared that the interim government—responsible for orchestrating the massacres—had fled the capital, reaffirming that their immediate goal was to stop the killing of innocent civilians and restore law and order, while stressing that the genocide against the Tutsi was being misrepresented internationally as a “tribal conflict” rather than the political crime it was. At the same time, in international circles, Madeleine Albright advocated for the evacuation of UN peacekeepers, even as Roméo Dallaire reported harrowing scenes of mass killings—bodies disposed of in dumpsters from the Ministry of Public Works and buried in machine-dug trenches—while elsewhere, in Runda, Tutsi victims were thrown into the Nyabarongo River on that same day. #Kwibuka32
