@PatPostsAgain Bede didn't say he "thought" that, though, he stated it as a fact. He would know better than you, as he was an Anglo-Saxon, a contemporary of living paganism and writing within living memory of the conversion of Northumbrian king to Christianity.

A crane, or similar bird skull, buried with a man of the Khvalynsk culture. In Celtic tradition the crane has a strange place. Three cranes are featured associated with Esus in Gaul. In Ireland, the three cranes of exclusion serve as the guardians of the house of Athirne, the inhospitable. One word for a sorcerer is *corrguinech which can mean "crane wounding" - suggesting a strong connection between the bird and magic.

Facial reconstruction of a 6,500-year-old man from Samara Ekaterinovka Mys, discovered and excavated between 2013 and 2018 by A. A. Korolev, A. F. Kochkina, and D. A. Stashenkov, is an Eneolithic cemetery consisting of around 100 graves. It is located on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by a minor tributary of the Volga, the Bezenchuk River. Before the filling of the Saratov Reservoir, the cemetery lay about 6 km upstream from the Bezenchuk–Volga confluence; today, it is situated on the edge of the reservoir. This site is crucial for understanding Eastern European prehistory, as it bridges the gap between Mariupol-type and Khvalynsk cultural materials, occupying an intermediate position between steppe and forest traditions. Burial 45 (the reconstructed individual) was located south of Burial 41, in a shallow, narrow pit marked by darker soil and red ochre. The individual was laid extended on his back, with his head oriented toward the ESE, and heavily covered with ochre. The grave contained rich and unusual goods: an elk-antler finial shaped like a long-beaked bird, placed on the skull; a deliberately broken flint adze on the chest; multiple mace heads; and a zoomorphic scepter. Lower leg and hand bones from at least two other individuals were also placed around the body, likely as intentional deposits. Additional finds included quartzite blades, a beaver incisor ornament, numerous marmot teeth, and over 500 shell beads, mainly concentrated around the head. A young goat, also covered in ochre, was buried alongside the individual. Overall, the burial is notable for its extensive use of ochre, abundant grave goods, and clear evidence of complex ritual activity involving human and animal offerings. The skull is moderately large, high, and broad-based, with a pronounced brow ridge. The face is moderately wide, vertically orthognathic, and well profiled; the orbits are low, and the nasal aperture is narrow. Slight alveolar prognathism and a pronounced chin are present. Overall, the skull is Europoid but displays some archaic features (e.g., a low fronto-malar index, shallow canine fossae, and flared cheekbones), suggesting affinities with the Ancienturalic type. Postcranial remains indicate a lightly built, gracile, narrow-bodied individual with moderate musculature. Limb proportions suggest relatively long legs and forearms. Estimated height was approximately 167–173 cm (Kochkina A.F., Korolev A.I., Stashenkov D.A., Khokhlov A.A., 2024) He carried Y-DNA haplogroup R1b-L754 and mtDNA haplogroup U5a1. His autosomal DNA shows a mixture of EHG and Steppe Eneolithic populations (Lazaridis et al., 2025).

I am begging anyone who thinks that the left right divide is just some manufactured thing by Jews or by greedy corporations or by the uniparty or whatever it is attributed to, to go to a leftwing protest, find someone who looks like this, and try and find common ground with them.
