Got knocked out in Spain by players from places like Armenia and Italy. But Judd Trump was probably right when he said that it’s much harder to win a world title when you’re from mainland Europe.

@SnookerInfo147 @esel_freund Haha right, sorry the sarcasm went over my head. It’s not the 1980s but it’s not all doom and gloom too. It’s a big jump from the amateur game to the professional level but there’s a good little group at the moment and hopefully more can break through.

@ProSnookerBlog @esel_freund I agree with you Matt. That’s why I said ‘apparently’. It seems to be the narrative at the moment but like you said there are a few talented players around. People often seem to focus on the negatives unfortunately.

@SnookerInfo147 @esel_freund I do think we have some promising players coming through at the moment. Oliver of course who has been the standout player at English Junior events for a while, but also the likes of Kaylan Patel, Daniel Boyes, Paul Deaville, Dylan Smith, Edward Jones and others.
