Well I don’t care what a Muslim or whatever has to say about what is monotheistic or not. The biblical authors identify God the Father as the one true God and used the Shema to show there’s still one God. God did “send himself” throughout the Old testament. You should read it sometime.

The Father is the only true God. No christian denies this. “The Only True God” just means “the source, foundational reality of all things”. Jesus says the father is the only true God and that God sent Jesus from heaven and from the Him. Consequently making Jesus the possessor of that source and giver of eternal life. This literally explains why Jesus called God good, why he told to rich ruler to follow him and why John 17 he says knowing the God & son is eternal life.

No. The rich ruler called Jesus “good” with the idea that Jesus was just a teacher. “Good” can be used in an ordinary normal sense or a deeper godly sense. Jesus asked why he was called good or what the ruler meant by it. If the ruler used the former then why go to Jesus for eternal life? If the ruler used the latter sense then why think teachers are godly good? That was the question.

The issue is there’s absurd Islamic teachings such as the op and others like blowing nose because Satan hides in it or, stepping with only your left foot in the bathroom, or avoiding black dogs because it’s like Satan, dipping flies in your drinks, etc. those are just deontological superstitions.
