@SamRose There are two LSPs. Nixd and Nil. But I am running into serious limitations with them. I don't think they're unfixable. But it's just easier when things from the ground up are built with LSP in mind

@ProgrammerDude Is it just somehow impossible to create LSP support for existing nix?

I want something like Nix but from the ground up designed with excellent LSP support. No nixd is not good enough.

@SamRose Problem with nix and nixpkgs is that everything is all highly dynamic and implicit. And this makes good LSP support hard. I want my go-to-definition to be meaningfull and not jump to call-package.nix for example

@SamRose nil has less features than nixd from my experience. What I want is when I import a NixOS module that the options of that module auto-complete. with Nixd this is only possible by giving the LSP config a list of known modules.
