SpaceX to Acquire Cursor Maker Anysphere in $60B All-Stock Deal SpaceX has signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire Anysphere, the company behind the popular AI coding tool Cursor, for $60 billion in an all-stock transaction, according to a new SEC filing. A SpaceX subsidiary (X67 Inc.) will merge into Anysphere, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. The deal is expected to close in **Q3 2026**, subject to regulatory approvals. Cursor hit ~$2B in annual recurring revenue in just ~3 years, one of the fastest-growing B2B software companies ever. It follows the April 2026 option agreement and comes shortly after SpaceX’s IPO. This marks a major push by Elon Musk’s companies into AI developer tools, pairing Cursor’s product with SpaceX’s massive compute infrastructure, including xAI’s Colossus. A bold move that accelerates SpaceX’s AI ambitions and gives Cursor enormous resources/scaling power.
