@ThirtyVirus "Will mods be auto-installed when you log into a server?" We've been told that mods will be on the server side rather than the client side. So, they don't need to be installed. They'll be a part of the server, and the server just tells the client what it needs to show the player.
I've got some mod development questions to #askhytale
1. Do we call them "mods", or "plugins"? My current understanding is that they work for singleplayer and multiplayer, so it could go either way.
2. What is the exact process of making a mod? For example, let's say a "bedwars-like gamemode". Would people be able to make "zones", "teams", "diamond_generator" classes in C++ (a more concrete / object oriented approach, which I prefer personally), or would it be more towards the approach bedrock Minecraft is doing with datapacks / command blocks / modifying json files / lua? I've heard a bit of both and am curious about the specifics.
3. Will there be an effort to keep old mods working in newer versions? (backwards compatibility) Many games break mods with each update, and inevitably some of the best stuff is left abandoned and forgotten which is a shame.
4. How are mods distributed? Will there be an official marketplace such as the steam workshop, or external ones like nexus mods? Will there be a distinction between mods for business use (servers) and personal use, and can people charge for them? Will needed mods be auto-installed when you log into a server?
5. Will Hypixel get a cut of on-platform sold mods? Will Hypixel sell server hosting? What's the secondary currency called? (Hycoins?). I believe keeping adjacent industries on-platform will make Hypixel a lot of money and keep the community consolidated, safe, and alive.

@Animenonym@TheWyllay@Hytale That's why they didn't give us a release date this time. They said 2023 at the earliest. They didn't want to give people false hope. They may have made a mistake with the earlier dates, but they have been communicating their work and development, saying why this was happening.

@Hytale for some reason I cant get onto the hytale page where we get updates, it just comes up with this page and I'm not sure what to do about it... sorry if its just on my end, I just don't know what to do! ^^'
