Every day, people are being held in overcrowded detention facilities and treated like they are less than human, all while private prison corporations collect a profit. It’s a business model built on suffering. I introduced the Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act to stop the abuse, overcrowding, and profiteering off of people's pain. Every single person in this country deserves to be treated with dignity. We are fighting this battle inside Congress and in the streets.

I can reliably say that I know why people are pissed with insurance companies. @StateFarm is dragging its feet to pay out for an accident. The wife was rear-ended by an unlicensed driver, in police report, but they say they have to investigate. They are screwing people!
