This is a classic scam. When someone sends you money “by accident” and you send it back, here’s what happens: 1. They sent you $1,200 (usually from a stolen card or hacked account) 2. You sent back $1,200 of YOUR OWN money 3. Now they file a dispute saying their account was hacked 4. PayPal reverses the original $1,200 (takes it from you) 5. You’re now out $2,400 total - the original amount PLUS what you sent
