Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Prophet. He is the Priest. He is the King. He is the Lord God and savior. He is love and He is just. You cannot pay for your sins, and they cannot simply be forgotten or dismissed for God is good and thereby just. They must be paid for and it must we of eternal value for we sinned against an eternal God. Jesus who is God and of eternal worth, willing descended, covered His glory with flesh, lived the perfect life we could not live, and willingly died the death we deserved. He bore the eternal wrath and justice we should have endured, and graciously imputed His righteousness unto those who looked up upon the man hung on a cross for sinners in faith. And just as He was raised to life in a glorified body and ascended to the heavens, so it is our blessed hope that we too will be raised up in glory with Him. The Lord gives us His Holy Spirit to apply these blessings in Christ Jesus and give us assurance all while preserving our souls. All this our Father in Heaven has ordained- to redeem a people to Himself for His glory out of love.
