@AgainstAtheismX Atheists don't hate god. That would be like hating Santa Claus or dragons. We just find it annoying to deal with adults trying to push the fairytales on us. Also, religious people who call atheism a "religion" are just trying to bring intelligent people down to their level...

Atheism is a religion of contradiction. On the one hand: hatred of God - labelling Him a genocidal maniac, a rapist, a murderer, a tyrant. On the other: He does not exist.

God has done the work. All you have to do is lift your finger.

Here's the cultural mythos Atheists want you to believe: A meaningless universe popped into existence with no intention. You are nothing more than an accidental byproduct of dead matter colliding. Eventually, you and everyone you know will die. Nothing you do really matters, as nothing is inherently meaningful. There is no such thing as objective morality, as truly right or truly wrong. You just make up whatever purpose and meaning you want. Indulge in whatever pleasures you like, drugs, sex, sodomy, abuse, porn, movies, video games... because who's to tell you what you should or shouldn't do? God? He doesn't exist. Somehow, the people who want to tell you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by an Almighty God, and that He loves you, that life has beauty, truth, and goodness, and that you are so precious that He died for you... are oppressive, tyrannical maniacs. You are so much smarter than these people who hold such stupid and outdated views. Clearly your vision of life is superior.

"Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord." Lk 5:8 I was meditating on this passage the other day. This is how the devil wants us to act. Ensnare us in sin, and then convince us to distance ourselves from God. But Christ provides the cure: "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners" Lk 5:32
