Massive Encroachment of Hulimavu lake 😢 The most atrocious one is the real estate development below the hillock to the East of the lake. Historically it was a large beautiful lake with some temples around. Kindly retweet. #SaveHulimavuLake #Bengaluru #Bangalore #BBMP #Bwssb

@vikasrajputin Adding to your list: 1. Error or exception handling for graceful exit even in error cases. 2. Having decent logging at various log levels makes it easy to find bugs in production in case they occur

So, next time when you sit to code do this: 1. Solve the problem on paper. 2. If it's complex, get it reviewed with peers. 3. Fix any feedback, optimize it well. 4. Test your solution properly. What else comes to your mind when you think of problem solving?

You're not a programmer. You're a problem solver. No matter if you've optimized 100 lines of code into 10, if it's not solving a problem, it's as good as useless. Your role goes beyond translating commands; you solve real-world problems for real people.

Is there any other information or tool that could help expedite the process of root cause analysis (RCA)?

I am currently investigating a performance issue that is caused by threads hogging resources (which turned out to be a false positive). To gain more insights, I am examining the heap dump, thread dump, and server logs. #Debugging #Analysis

Please let me know if there is any feedback you have, so that I can create a blog post that is easy for everyone to understand.

I will create a blog post that discusses the java deserialization vulnerability in a simple and clear manner. In addition, I will explain the workaround JEP-290 and also touch upon JEP-415. I am planning to clarify concepts by using code examples and diagrams whenever relevant.

@Franc0Fernand0 Agree. For me, creating a mental model for recursive code implementation is challenging. Maybe if I give some time and work on it, I will be able to do well.

@SimplyTech09 It's hard to beat the readability of recursive code when the problem (in this case the data structure) is inherently recursive.

Every function that uses recursion can be implemented iteratively. But if a problem is naturally recursive, it is better to use recursion. Take the preorder traversal of a binary tree as an example. Do you prefer the recursive version or the one with an explicit stack?

@TheAnkurTyagi I agree partially here, but hybrid mode adds a bit more human touch in terms of in-person meetings, easing out stress from an otherwise routine life. Working from an office or common place once every two weeks or once a month can be helpful.

Remote engineers are the most productive ones because the only thing they have to justify their time is what they "ship" not the time spent walking around in the office, talking about non-important stuff, having multiple coffee/smoking breaks and making jokes until 6 pm.

The black boxes are there because the bird's-eye view review is not intended to dive into each component's how and what.

The first time I hear about a technical requirement, I'm never able to understand it, because I can't mentally map what's being described. As I mentally reorganize the words just spoken, I try to put black boxes, and in layman's terms, I try to figure out what needs to be done.

@rupali_codes 1. Getting straight to coding without making a mental model or writing down what you want to accomplish. 2. Writing lengthy functions.
