NC State not being able/willing to match this number I’m hearing Schertz wanted is very troubling. This should have been a layup for a program serious about competing.

@SloberrinWolves @LupusBeowulf Would you consider guys like Tommy Lloyd a huge gamble when Arizona took the AHC from Gonzaga. Roy Williams was the AHC under Dean. Went straight to HC at Kansas. Jai Lucas and Jon Scheyer had zero HC experience. Luke Loucks at FSU an alum. Ended up with a great team by end.

If Gainey has a good answer as to who he would hire to run the offense - I think you offer him and wrap this thing up.

The Lowe / Gainey comparisons are embarrassing. The two could not have more different backgrounds. The only thing they have in common is that they both went to State. Dig a little deeper folks.

If Gainey was proven as a HC, I’d be so on board with it. You couldn’t ask for more than loyalty and experience. But right now he’s got only 1

Let’s say Shertz is a home run and someone comes calling in 3 years… are we really gonna be upset our program is in a better spot than when he showed up ?
