I think a top-half ACC finish and being on the bubble are perfectly reasonable expectations for year one with Gainey.
As much as I think he's ready for this moment, this is not an easy transition to enter after what's transpired.
Patience will be needed for it to come together.

Was never taking NC State. Also turned down Cuse in the midst of the NCAAT. Am told SLU has at least $10 million to use this year in rev share + NIL expenditures. Basically running a high-major operation in the A-10. Will be interesting to see Schertz with real money to spend.

I still don’t know who I want to be the next HC. I do not know anything about Schertz . My heart will hurt for Gainey if he doesn’t get it. Defense and a good point guard will be important to him. State hasn’t play good defense and hasn’t had a good point guard in a long time.
