Honestly speaking, the worst thing about part 2 is the assassination of denji's character for me. He used to be one of my favourite but now i genuinely get pissed at what he's become, i can't even enjoy his part 1 self in a vacuum with the context of p2 that's how bad it is.

The characters are a means to spread a certain message to the reader, who cares if they are not aware of it themselves dude the author is speaking to YOU!

you guys have to try seeing these characters based on what the author meant to convey with them rather than following a character arc from point A to point B
it's not about her "story" it's about what she represented as a narrative presence and no LITERAL event can erase that

The issue is that her entire journey in Part 2 is now irrelevant. She hasn't grown as a character. Her story was just completely erased and then rewritten. Asa's story was made to be meaningless.

The poor man's rose is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen a shonen manga do. Its beauty accentuates how horrifying it is tenfold, felt like I didn't breathe once while reading this chapter

One of the worst qualities of modern audiences is that they need absolutely everything spelled out and explained to them. This is why MGS4 was such a huge clusterfuck.

Being straight up, people really need to be told when a story is over, it's over. You do not need to be told about everything in a story. You are given enough to put it together yourself, you can read and think about it, keep talking about it, that's what a good story does

I refuse to think part 2 as a whole is bad, but, If I personally had to point out a moment when I think the story started to get weird in a bad way, i would say after the Aging Devil arc.
