Excellent articulation of the agentic commerce thesis. It's not that all businesses are going to be on stablecoin rails. Many will, especially outside of the lit / western economy! Credit card infrastructure only exists in certain countries. But where they are dominant already, credit cards aren't going anywhere. Rather, it's that the rise of agents will create a wave of new businesses and transaction patterns at a scale that has never existed. Credit cards are ultimately a bundling of services and properties around money that is adapted to commerce as it exists today. But stablecoins represent an unbundling of that transaction stack—if you don't need chargebacks, if you don't need pre-auth, if you don't need transaction batching, if you don't need consumer rewards, and if you want real-time settling micro-transactions, then Visa's stack isn't the answer. Stablecoins are. Visa is not designed to serve agents. An agent doesn't need 30 day dispute resolution on a 0.003c API call. Agents will move value programmatically, instantaneously, globally, in volumes that will look like DDoS attacks to traditional payment processors. That said, it's too early to see it in the numbers yet. x402 volumes today are tiny and experimental. Anyone who is claiming that it's already here is being dishonest. This is a story about what's coming. As an investor, it's your job to draw the line out. All technology inflection points create changes in the how payments get processed. Just as Visa emerged out of the growth of the credit-driven consumer economy, and Stripe emerged out of the rise of e-commerce, agentic commerce will needs its own answer. Anyone who's telling you Visa is going to get eaten by stablecoins is, candidly, full of shit. Visa is not going anywhere. The Citrini thesis on that point is just wrong. But the rails for a new category of finance are being built right now, and although the answer is not yet set in stone, that's where this technology—all of it—is leading.
