@CliveWismayer More intelligence in an iceberg (lettuce). 44 days too many

I’ve run out of words. Someone help me out.

Liz Truss, "We look across the Atlantic with envy" "We want a Trump revolution in Britain" "We want Elon examining the British deep state"

Hi @AndyMellorsWest . You’ve got a landslip north of Lockerbie. Looks bad. Good luck to you and NR sorting that speedily. But why are you turning back at Preston northbound ? Why not Carlisle? Is this official AWC policy? @greensignallers @railnigel @LordPeterHendy @AlexHynes
English

@SRichardBowker @AndyMellorsWest @greensignallers @railnigel @LordPeterHendy @AlexHynes It would be good to have an answer to this. If passengers can be bussed from Preston to Glasgow, drivers could also go by road from Glasgow traincrew depot to Carlisle to work services. Passengers to Lancaster, Oxenholme, Penrith and Carlisle shouldn't be on a bus at all

Totally incompetent de-icing of @airfrance AF1269 at Manchester this morning by @swissportNews . Took more than 30 minutes and then they had to come back because they missed a bit. Swissport need to train their crews and not wait for bad weather to check competence.
Manchester, England 🇬🇧 English

@JonathanHall_71 @GarethDennis Deregulation = cherry picking. You cannot do it route by route because everybody wants the profitable routes whereas passengers want an integrated transport system with common ticketing.
English

@GarethDennis Just a pity that most of the smaller operators lost out and the Big boys won nearly everything
Needs to be routed by route
English

This will be one of the best policy changes in recent British history. And the current government seems to have little interest in replicating it.

Overnight tonight we will mobilise the single biggest change to buses in the UK for decades as the remaining half of services in GM come back under public control. Thank you to everyone who has worked through Christmas and the New Year to make this happen.🙏🏻
English

@DerekDonkey1977 @GarethDennis Greater Manchester population is 2.8 million which is 4% of UK population - that is not a tiny percentage. Also significant in that it is a trailblazer for reversing 1980s UK bus deregulation so its impact will be much greater than 4%. Somebody had to start
English

@GarethDennis Hardly, when it affects a tiny percentage of the population 🙄🤦

This is the lovely Nigel Farage. The photographer gave him a message before he went to support the Boxing Day hunt.
He’d hate it if people RT’d this and signed the petition for a proper ban on fox hunting - protectthewild.org.uk/our-campaigns/…

Rolls Royce Dealers.
Yet another business who seem to have
carte blanche from @EalingCouncil to do as the please. They have a drop kerb to access/exit their showroom and that's it. I am going to report all 3 of these. Doubt anything will happen, but somebody has to do something.
English

@RogerHelmerMEP What nonsense, Roger Helmer MEP until 2017. Less to go wrong on an EV, the only real risk is running out of charge, and EV drivers learn how to manage charging. Hybrids are more complex
English

@owenoo @BobFromAccounts That doesn't mean that the drivers who are speeding on 20mph roads and motorways are the ones paying the increase in speeding fines - most speed cameras are on 30-70 mph roads, not motorways, and local authorities don't get the revenue from speed cameras on "smart" motorways
English

@StuartBroadbent @BobFromAccounts that is what the RAC survey says.... assets.contentstack.io/v3/assets/bltf…
"Meanwhile, there has been an increase in drivers across all ages who admit to speeding, particularly on motorways and on 20mph roads."
English

@GwVillager Tramways have always relied on "drive on sight" without any signalling or protection systems. The implementation of protection systems on modern trams means that the operator will have to consider the risk of running the heritage trams without such systems.
