This is why #AutismAwareness is so important. Nothing farms engagement better than misinformation. Don’t engage, just block. Cut their reach, diminish their platform.

@StuartYee_Dev @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews Their ship was hurtling in space and these few meters made a difference enough for an alien with a FTL surfboard to get trapped there long enough while F4 without their FTL device somehow managed to get to Earth in about the same time

@sharkafilipova @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews What’s the mass of the neutron star? Nobody and especially not Grok would be able to calculate that without knowing that. Compared to the mass of the neutron star, Silver Surfer and the Excelsior are negligible in comparison.

@sharkafilipova @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews Again, the difference in time dilation is exponential. This is based on the inverse square law. FTL is not established to mitigate time dilation or be the equivalent to time travel in the film so not a plot hole But if you’re determined not to like the film, I won’t stop you

@StuartYee_Dev @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews With such marginal difference they both must have experienced similar time dilation and F4's FTL device was destroyed so they had to travel to Earth from another star without it. Meanwhile the Surfer can travel FTL, which is functionally time travel, offsetting the time dilation

@StuartYee_Dev @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews Yet they magically got there in just one month and Surfer (who didn't have her FTL device destroyed) somehow couldn't keep up with them and arrived not just after F4 arrived on Earth, but after they finished building the Earthwide teleportation project

We moved to “unlimited PTO” to show we trust people. No accrual, no tracking. Just “take what you need.” One analyst actually believed it. He booked two full weeks off in July and put it on the shared calendar. His manager forwarded it to me with just: “Seriously?” I told him we’d handle it. I approved the request, told the analyst to have an amazing break, and added a smiley face. What they don't know is we track PTO differently. We have an internal dashboard to track this stuff with our own metrics. Anyone who books more than 5 consecutive days turns orange. Anyone who does it during Q3 turns red. Next to his name, in the “Promotion Risk” column, I changed the tag from “Emerging Leader” to “Fire by Q4.” Enjoy your vacation James.

@sharkafilipova @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews time elapsed for the rest of the universe would be much longer. FF’s ship did not get as close to the singularity, so their time dilation was much less which accounted for the time difference. We can also assume that the main ship had a smaller, less effective FTL drive…

@sharkafilipova @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews Most of the items aren’t actually plot holes and either explained in dialogue or just not present— but you’ve already decided not to like the film so that probably won’t matter to you Sorry you didn’t enjoy the film, but it is the same level of consistency as the source material

@StuartYee_Dev @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews I'm not talking about scientific accuracy, I am talking about inconsistencies, when things go against the logic the story itself has established, that's called plot holes

@NightSkyNow It’s fun to think, but not true. All of life on Earth has the same DNA bases.

@brand4464 @athenaeumbc What do you think the message of Animal Farm was? In 1984, the antagonists are anti-capitalist, why is that?

In 1928, George Orwell went to Paris because he wanted to see what it was like to be poor. He rented a cheap room, ran out of money faster than expected, and ended up washing dishes in hotel kitchens for twelve to fourteen hours a day. The work was brutal in a boring way. Hot steam, greasy plates, shouting chefs, no breaks. You stood until your legs stopped working. When the shift ended, there was just enough time to eat badly and sleep before doing it again. When he got sick, no one helped much. You missed a shift, you lost the job. Later, in England, he lived among tramps and slept in shelters because he had nowhere else to go. He kept notes the whole time… He turned the experience into Down and Out in Paris and London. The book shows what happens when life becomes logistical and dignity turns into something you can’t afford. That period stayed with him. Long after he became famous, his writing never forgot how fragile comfort is, or how fast a person can slide from being someone to being invisible.

@sharkafilipova @chubby_gubby @MCUFilmNews These are not egregious compared to comic book Iron Man’s original armor being “powered by transistors”. Comic books are not scientifically accurate, so I don’t set that expectation for comic book movies. Don’t watch CBMs if you want Interstellar level scientific accuracy.
