@LizzieMarbach I'm unbothered if it's not a continuous thing or disrupting other activities.

I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games. Some women might be understanding or pretend like they don’t care that you spend hours playing, but they do. It is extremely unattractive to women and will never not be. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I hate how at the doctors office, the nurse sees you first, gets all your concerns and then relays them to the doctor. It’s like whisper down the lane. Let me just tell the doctor directly because I can hear you outside the door doing a terrible job.

@demiurgently I tried to feed my daughter at a pool once using a towel to provide some modicum of cover, but she didn't like that and kept pulling the towel down and randomly WAVING in all directions, drawing even more attention to us. I was extremely exposed 😭

@polyeaster @madnomanattic @Olas_Truth And that's bullshit. Letting women's health fail instead of treating them because of an invader they very well might not even want in their body is absolutely misogyny. That fetus isn't important and absolutely shouldn't be considered.

@jacobbogage @AmericanAir AA started using a new algorithm maybe 2 years ago now that tries to predict if you'll make your connection or not. It may preemptively bump you from your next flight even if you make it on time. Aggravating when it happens to you.

I just watched the weirdest thing, @AmericanAir. In Miami, two women arrived for their flight to Boston with plenty of time to spare. They showed the gate agent their boarding pass. The agent bizarrely said the flight was closed, then seated standby passengers. What on earth?

@Mohamed_Krsoon1 Not at this time. I don't do business with people who approach me on the internet about these sorts of things and it's a little more complicated and what I'm looking to get into right now

@polyeaster We do! I'm Mohamed, founder of Control A we build custom business software. Maintenance is handled by us post-launch: bug fixes, updates, and adding features as your needs grow. You're not locked into anyone's pricing — you own the system. Want to chat more over DM?

Clio just raised payment processing fees several days after my annual renewal, which I had to negotiate to get to a vaguely reasonable place and is still significantly more than last year. Do they think I won't cancel??

@Mohamed_Krsoon1 Exactly what I said, they jacked the price and then jacked the card processing fee immediately after I renewed. It's a bait and switch

@polyeaster Custom software is built around your specific compliance rules and billing workflow from day one — you define it, we build it. That said, if Clio's features work for you and it's just the price, that's a different problem. What else bothers you about it?

@Mohamed_Krsoon1 ...and how is all the complex legal compliance of the software and billing handled?

@polyeaster That's exactly the problem with subscription-based software you're always at their mercy on pricing. One alternative worth considering: custom-built software with a one-time cost. You own it, no monthly fees, no surprise increases. Might be worth exploring if the pricing keeps

@Mohamed_Krsoon1 Yeah I don't mind the software itself but they are jacking the prices unreasonably for what it is

@DarcyMcflurry @madnomanattic @Olas_Truth I get that but liability exists and people can be flaky. I'm not going to keep arguing this we can disagree but that doesn't change that you can't give chemo to someone possibly pregnant

@polyeaster @madnomanattic @Olas_Truth She very well may have been, but it sounds like she would have aborted anyway. So it doesn't need to be sure to get her cancer medication. The effect on the pregnancy doesn't matter because it's not going to be carried to term anyway.
