I defended Ten Hag a lot, but I have to admit his underrating of the talent he had (Garner, Carreras, Henderson) and overrating of Onana, Casemiro (from y2) and others seriously harmed United. Then again, we'll never know what the sporting direction was at the time.

Luka was playing minutes at Euroleague for Real Madrid at 15... He outplayed MVP Westbrook in a game at 17... Won EuroBasket & made the all star 5 while cooking NBA All Stars at 18... He won Euroleague MVP at 19 There absolutely would be a Luka Doncic if Harden didn't exist 😂
Isaiah Thomas@isaiahthomas

There’s no Luka if James harden doesn’t exist… James harden changed the game and he doesn’t get enough credit. Luka plays exactly how prime harden played in Houston. And the you couldn’t stop NOTHING!!!! Real hoop game with manipulation of the game to go in they favor OMG

People who think Scholes and Souness have a problem with Pogba for any other reason than how Pogba plays football really don't understand how great these guys were at playing football. I would listen very carefully to what they have to say on a midfielder, they're qualified.
Premier League Panel@PremLeaguePanel

Pristine 1st touch, passing technique, high IQ to know which teammate to find in the best position. He had legs/tackling too. This is one of the best midfield performances in a CL final. His rep should be higher - Graeme Souness is a true great of the sport.

@SyEasy That debate is undair on Giggs. Giggs in 20 years at the top was always top 2 or 3 performer (apart from 94-95 season). Often he was 2nd to players more influential (imo) than Salah. In 99 for ex. I think him or Beckham should have won the BO not Rivaldo.

Contradiction here. He was by far Liverpool’s best player in 2020/21 and you can’t name me one season in Gigg’s career in which he was more impactful in the PL than Salah last season. And I love Giggs.
Adam McKola@AdamMcKola

All stats with you nerds. Facts are he isn't anywhere near the level or impact that Cantona, Giggs, Rooney, Ronaldo, Keane, etc. had. Fella couldn't defend a title, threw his toys out of the pram because he didn't start a few games and chucked his team under the bus.

@Mayecorsar The thing about Salah is he is comfortably the biggest statistical performer of the PL in the 21st century AND he won for a team that hadn't won like that in decades. There's a before and an after Liverpool with him, against incredibly strong opponents.

@Mayecorsar Was he? For the 2007-09 side for example, would you have him as better than Rooney, Ronaldo, Scholes, Tevez, Berbatov etc? I think he maintained a high standard of performance but I am also not sure he ever was considered UTD's best player?

@Mayecorsar I think the thing is, if we're talking about Mané's Liverpool, Salah is a gigantic part of that squad. They would not have been able to compete with City without him I don't think. There were seasons when Salah was the better of the two as well.

@SyEasy Yes and no imo. Mane's Liverpool would have dominated the PL and even UCL had City and Real not been out of this world. Last year's Liverpool win was dominant but in one of the poorest leagues in recent memory (imo). Also last year there was more to Liverpool than just Salah...

Dans un football, dans lequel l'individu est toujours mis en avant au détriment du collectif, on devrait au contraire se réjouir de voir une telle individualité se mettre au service de son équipe. C'est exactement pour cela que Dembélé est un joueur à part !
After Foot RMC@AfterRMC
