The special issue is connected to the 35th edition of the ACM Hypertext and Social Media conference, which was held in Poznan, Poland, September 2024. We welcome submissions from authors of accepted papers and relevant contributions from the broader Hypertext and Web communities.

Major challenge: sheer size of the data and the ability to make sense of it in a useful, meaningful manner. For this, the full spectrum of longitudinal studies using Web data is addressed, ranging from “low-level” network/graph analysis up to “high-level” content/concept analysis

The issue aims at investigating infrastructures, scalable methods, and innovative software for aggregating, querying, and analyzing heterogeneous data at Internet scale. Emphasis on temporal data analysis along the time dimension for Web data collected over extended time periods.
