@8_gounce @suggondeeznats @birdie_capalot @sermonfanclub One person's autonomy ends with the violation of another sentient beings, that's why we have timeframes for when abortions should be conducted, and why vegans think it is never okay to eat the flesh of animals who have been mistreated all their lives and killed.

@8_gounce @suggondeeznats @birdie_capalot @sermonfanclub Being pro choice is a pro bodily autonomy position. Society should not legislate a violation of a woman's bodily autonomy by making her carry an unwanted baby to term. Animals similarly should not have their bodily autonomy violated by being mistreated and killed.

A lot of “veganism is so expensive!!!” discourse makes sense when you realize these people don’t cook. There is no cheap vegan fast food place, cheap vegan corner store, etc. Vegan *restaurants* are often more expensive. Vegan *prepared foods* are often more expensive.
g ✶ met z!@N1NETY6S

like the reality is that being vegan is insanely expensive and the majority of us cannot afford that shit. YOU, as a rich person, can! and that’s fine! do what you want! but stop pretending there is zero nuance to shit like this

@NeonTrees_thfc @jd849879187543 @anivarsh58 @plant_xbasedx Murder that is essential to survival is viewed as morally permissable by essentially anyone. That is one of the reasons we don't take issue with carnivores or someone having to resort to cannibalism to survive in an emergency. Murder for convenience and taste is obviously evil

@NeonTrees_thfc @jd849879187543 @anivarsh58 @plant_xbasedx All of society views killing as morally permissable when necessary for survival. We also consider less suffering to be preferable, so killing the least amount of lives to survive is the aim. You do that by being vegan, crop deaths happen more for the crops fed to animals too.

@jd849879187543 @anivarsh58 @plant_xbasedx The reason you believe a small amount of animal death is okay for human food is the exact reason meat eaters eat meat. We just choose convenience, the same as vegans

@alexandrascaggs @Entity266 @hecubian_devil It absolutely does not. Billions of male chicks are literally put into grinders or gassed alive for all aspects of the egg industry. The life of chickens is often horrible because free range & pasture raised are barely any standard, but it's not just those chicken's lives either

@222dove @camarones3000 @plant_xbasedx Soya drinks are literally staple pantry items in basically every south asian country, so there is your dairy covered, then fermented soy products like furu and sufu are cheese subs in the region. That just leaves egg really which is substituted for bean curd and tofu scramble

@Fornlangtan @stankysockslol @MauroGiar @MeggGawat 80% of all soy produced is consumed by cows, 40-50% of all grain produced is consumed by cows. Humans can live a perfectly healthy life on a vegan diet, often much healthier than carnists due to the lesser consumption of carcinogens.

It’s ANIMAL agriculture that uses more water. You need to make 300,000 AI prompts to equal water usage of 1 non-vegan burger. Vegan versions of all animal products use 99% less water. We need to eat food, but we don’t have to harm and kill any animals.

I like the "agriculture uses way more water than ai" argument because it implies that asking grok to put someone in a bikini is just as important as literally eating food

@Fornlangtan @stankysockslol @MauroGiar @MeggGawat Those same combines are used for all of the grain and soy used to feed the cows and other animals, along with then the veggies you would also eat. So your diet is certainly worse for field animals than a vegan's diet. It is about harm mitigation, no one is saying it is perfect.

@stankysockslol @MauroGiar @MeggGawat Fawns and rodents are slaughtered en masse by combines. Veganism is psychosis. Fully detached from nature and reality. Being against animal cruelty and factory farming is one thing. But being vegan is a mental illness.

@satrns_nebula @_court_yard How do you plan on actually doing that without exerting economic pressure by refusing to purchase animal based products. If you're going to say some shit about individual action just admit you don't think boycotts work and continue doing nothing besides "reforming the system"

I’m not denying that but yall continue to deflect from the very real exploitation of poc for vegan products which would get worse if the demand for vegan products got higher like use your brain
Liam 🇵🇸@Hezbolsonaro

I know these people are completely incapable of critical thinking but I really wonder how you arrive at the belief that there’s an industry of vegan “products” relying on “slave labour of children of color” that’s completely separate from regular food production.

@satrns_nebula @_court_yard You're arguing for doing fucking nothing unless there is some mythical solution that eliminates 100% of all environmental impact, rights abuses and exploitation?? Choosing the path of less exploitation is ALWAYS better as we work towards bettering the world. Excuses excuses

@lul_dupe @SusanFairweathe @ReuelWilliams3 There is very clearly a disconnect between people's beliefs and their actions when it comes to needless violence and killing. This is due to undue influence from the consumerist-industrial complex literally infecting the minds of children with doublethink

@lul_dupe @SusanFairweathe @ReuelWilliams3 The majority of people don't clearly think about their consumption as killing animals. The consumerist-industrial complex works very hard for that to be ingrained in people from birth. Yet the vast majority of people agree that needlessly killing or harming another being is wrong

@travelmysweets @mamilifer @sibaburck If no one needs to eat meat it has no use besides causing suffering. That is while it also has 660x the impact for one burger compared to 300 AI queries. I think the ChatGPT flavour of AI is largely harmful as well but the scale of harm is immensely weighted towards meat.

@TaylorSFable @mamilifer @sibaburck I'm only shaking my ass in your face because you seem to not understand what I'm saying. No one NEEDS to eat meat, you must have me confused with some other guy you argued with. I'm just saying meat is more useful than generative AI

@lul_dupe @SusanFairweathe @ReuelWilliams3 You think you're sleek asking for objective morality here. How about you just recognise the consensus the vast majority of humans have, that needlessly killing living beings is bad. Yes it is needless because alternatives exist for 99% of the population.

@SusanFairweathe @ReuelWilliams3 1. Why is killing animals wrong. 2. “Have no need” is subjective 3. I mean if you have an objective moral reason for why eating meat is wrong I would love to hear it. Please no subjective answers those are mesningless because they vary by person/culture/region.
