@DeynzerShelby Agree with your sentiment, however if NBME would prohibit DO students from taking USMLE, this would be a non-issue. In the absence of that, DO students will always feel compelled to take it.

Maybe one day I’ll be on faculty at a residency program and my first order of business will be to not *unofficially but basically officially* require DO students to pay twice the money to take twice the amount of board exams to prove our education is the same as MDs.
